FIDLOCK was founded in 2007 to further develop and commercialize Joachim Fiedler's patented magnetic closure technology. Products for several market segments based on the FIDLOCK technology are developed, produced and sold. These products are developed in close cooperation with large pilot customers in the respective markets and are later also made available to other clients. FIDLOCK's growth is financed by financial and private investors.

Technology

The innovative FIDLOCK closure technology is the basis for applications in different market segments. Its basic elements are patented. Several other patents are pending. The technology can be used not only for closures in the outdoor market like the ones that have been presented already, but also in other markets like furniture / industry or fashion / accessories. The technology is based on neodymium magnets that are about ten times as strong as a regular kitchen magnet. FIDLOCK closures not only use the attraction but also the rejection of the magnets in a fascinating way that you have to feel yourself. An optional mechanical locking leads to robust closures with high locking strength that can nonetheless be opened easily with one hand. Credit card proofness is a must for FIDLOCK.
