Recall: HERMETIC Dry Bag Medi, item number D-11111A-F0000(PTTT), petrol, lot number 2409140930201
The safety, proper functioning and use of the products mentioned with the affected lot number 2409140930201 cannot be guaranteed.
Fidlock therefore urges all users and customers to stop using products from the relevant lot, to store the products safely and out of the reach of children, and to dispose of them in a secure manner.
In lot 2409140930201 of the Hermetic Dry Bag, item number D-11111A-F0000(PTTT), the adhesive bonding of the closure strips to the bag’s film is faulty and may come away completely or partially, causing the product to lose its function and allowing individual magnets to fall out. The magnets are classified as small parts that can be swallowed and pose a high risk, particularly to children, as they may swallow them. Swallowing the magnets (particularly several at once) poses a serious health risk and can lead to death.

Description of the defect in the affected products
Products in the Hermetic range are characterised by a water- and dust-tight closure mechanism consisting of sealing strips with embedded permanent magnets. Within these sealing strips, the embedded permanent magnets ensure that the system closes automatically.
During the manufacture of the product, the sealing strips containing the magnets are firmly bonded to the outer walls of the pouch, forming a solid composite of sealing strips, magnets and film.
A manufacturing defect has occurred in the affected lot, causing the sealing strips to become very brittle and fragile and/or resulting in a faulty bond between the sealing strips and the bag walls. This leads to the partial or complete detachment of the sealing strips, and the magnets embedded in the sealing strips may simply fall out.
Identification of defect products
It must be assumed that all products from the affected lot are defect or that the defect will become apparent during further use.
To identify the affected items, the lot number must be checked.
The lot number is located on the back of the seal strip. (See Figure 2)
Only products with the lot number 2409140930201 are affected by the recall.
