VACUUM wins Design & Innovation Award 2021
FIDLOCK proudly announces that the new smartphone mount VACUUM has won the Design & Innovation Award in the category “Equipment Offroad”!
The jury decision states the following:
“By combining a vacuum- and magnet-based attachment mechanism, the German brand has devised a system that isn’t just brilliantly simple to use but holds your smartphone in complete security as well. Your phone is held in a case with a magnet on the back, which you simply place on the mount where it will automatically lock into the right position. You can choose whatever orientation you want for your smartphone, letting it be used for different purposes. To remove your smartphone, you just have to use the lever on the base of the mount to release the vacuum. Fidlock offer different mounting options that are compatible with bars up to 35 mm in diameter. In addition, there is also a stem cap option, that positions your smartphone perfectly in front of you.”
The Design & Innovation Award has been closely examining the latest innovations in the bike industry for the past eight years. The international, 30 member jury, consisting of journalists, test riders and engineers, extensively tests the innovations under real conditions during a camp lasting several weeks. This is one reason why the award is a seal of quality for outstanding products and therefore highly popular.
