Special Award Workwear Couture 2021 presented by Engelbert Strauss – including designs with FIDLOCK magnetic fasteners!
According to the motto "It's a magnetic world", the participants created innovative magnetizing workwear
Engelbert Strauss presented the Special Award Workwear Couture in the context of the FASH Awards 2021 and the city activation for the Frankfurt Fashion Week. The internationally renowned European Fashion Award FASH is aimed at students and graduates in professional fields such as fashion design, clothing technology and product development. Staying true to the theme “it’s a magnetic world”, the participants created exciting pieces that impressively proved that functional fashion doesn’t have to compromise on aesthetics. They received a toolbox beforehand with components and materials carefully selected by Engelbert Strauss that they should use to create their workwear couture. Regarding the motto, FIDLOCK also contributed components. Our premium magnetic fasteners are the ideal fit for functional workwear that supports users, and our portfolio offers suitable choices for any visual design. We were excited to provide a carefully selected range of diverse magnetic fasteners and buckles for the participants.

We are impressed by the participants’ creative application ideas for our magnetic components. They have innovatively combined function and fashion in their designs for workwear couture – the renowned jury had a tough decision to make when choosing the three best ensembles. However, as an expert for workwear Engelbert Strauss exactly knows what truly matters when it comes to choosing ideal components and creating innovative workwear couture. Finally, they crowned an impressive winner – who skilfully applied our V-BUCKLE 25, amongst other fasteners, on the chest of his creation.
