Mobility for pets – FIDLOCK fasteners in action
The start-up Pawsthesis from Augsburg, Germany, specialises in custom-made aids such as prostheses, orthoses, and wheelchairs for dogs. The idea originated at the University of Augsburg, where founders Simon Schuß and Dominik Hogen developed the prototypes as part of their bachelor's theses. Since its founding, Pawsthesis has been supplying dog owners not only with custom prostheses but also with practical front wheelchairs. To ensure that these wheelchairs can be quickly and comfortably attached to and detached from the dog, the founders rely on the intuitive technology of FIDLOCK fasteners. This makes everyday life much easier for both humans and animals and ensures that the mobility of the dogs is guaranteed without any awkward manoeuvres.

SNAP pull – invisible, secure, intuitive
The FIDLOCK SNAP pull is used for this application. A fastener that combines the proven magnetic-mechanical function with a discreet, ‘invisible’ look. A quick pull is all it takes to open the fastener in seconds. It locks securely into place automatically when closed. Its concealed mounting makes it not only functional but also design-friendly. Perfect for applications where ease of use and aesthetics are equally important. The SNAP pull female products can be combined with the matching SNAP male counterparts of the same size, allowing developers to integrate them easily and users to enjoy quick and secure handling.
